Fairytales of forgotten dreams
Granting your wish to be true
To be embraced by your arms
That is a poetry of lost love
I would write empty words
Without bringing them to life
I would write stories
Without meaning of time
What should I write
If not about what I can't do
In this time and place
Writing stories of heroes
Masters disappointed in their life
Of wars against noble enemies
Dark ages of forbidden time
Or should I write a story of my life
That is not truly mine
But a thousand of dreams
That would never be true

With every blood-stained rose I come across, I'll remember what it was before I came to purpose........Shall we go?

The first verse reminds me of fantasy literature. In a way it is wishful thinking of a more exciting existence where we all could easily adventure away our troubles and be heroes and fair maidens. It also reminds me that when as a young kid I used to read such books I gave no thought to things like love, considering them to be grown-up things. Now that I'm a grown-up with all sorts of classical love isssues I don't read fantasy literature anymore. Funny, huh?
The second verse actually reminds me quite much about the Muslim faith that one must not draw things without care for in the afterlife they have to give these creations the breath of life.
The third and fourth verse make me notice how we humans are very often more worried about the things we can't do than those we can or could. We all want to be superb heroes with shining armors and legends behind our every deed. Well, most of us want to.
A rather lamentful creation, painting an image that we are great only in our minds (an opinion I myself might subscribe to) but I felt it was actually something I could comment about and had a drop of time in my hands.
Cheerio~
And indeed it was, reading your comment made me smile. Very good thoughts indeed you had.
Thanks!
